This year I may throw away all my clothes to make room for more Mehmet Efendi. I always bring home as much as my suitcase will carry. Oh, and if you are not hitting Istanbul, isn't it nice that you can get it on Amazon. You can walk through the spice bazaar, through the streets and past the storefronts amidst the crowd and crush of Istanbul's market bazaar, until, near the Bosporus you come to the Mehmet Efendi window and smell the sweet scent of Turkey's greatest coffee. What Illy is to Italy, Mehmet Efendi is to Turkey, and let's remember-the Turks started it. Oh, what sweet scents, what delicious varieties.
I'm from Gerogia and we all drink Turkish coffee there, also I know the real flavor of Turkish coffee (At least I thought so).I love the flavor of (Megmet Efendi Turkish Coffee), it really has an authentic taste.I bought 8.8 Oz can thinking I'd reorder in case I liked it, and so did I.Now I ordered 3 of them.Buy smallest coffee can first, try it and then buy as much as you want to, but beliave me you will. This is really a best turkish coffee I've had so far.
It also happened to be discounted, due to the 3-pack convenience. My shipment came right on time from Ayhan's Mediterranean Market Place, and I was delighted with the first sip of my favorite coffee. Thanks to Ayhan's and Amazon.Seham When I found "Mehmet Efendi" on Amazon, I was thrilled. I have waited for over thirty years to have an authentic Turkish Coffee. By this, I mean not only the flavor and aroma, but the degree of fineness of the grind.
Service from Ayhan's Marketplace was exceptional also. I ordered this coffee based on the reviews- what a great product.
I'm happy to see that it can be purchased from the USA. I took it home and tried it and I must say it is the best I have tried from Kuwait, Turkey, or the USA, even as a novice preparing it at home. You will not be disappointed, just follow the directions on the can and prepare for a treat. I was in Istanbul a few weeks ago and asked a Turk what is the best Turkish coffee available. He say Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi and handed me a 8oz can.
